Love & Appreciation (Day 9)

I hope you are finally getting into a routine in your homes. I understand that this may be very difficult. I am currently working from home and I couldn't imagine how different this would be if we had young children. Listening to my co-workers everyday trying to manage a full household and still work is not easy, but I am noticing that many of us are not upset when someone needs to step away from their desk to attend to their families. Many of us are considerate of what each of us are going through day in, day out.

While our world continues to change, let us direct our focus on how we can show love and appreciate those things we take for granted. While we are doing our part to keep our world safe from illness, notice that our beautiful air is cleaner without all the transportation to work or school. See our communities coming together to help in this time of need. Hospital, grocery, farmers, deliveries, restaurants services all putting themselves at risk so all of us can continue living our lives at home. Throw away those negative vibes and try to look at the positive that surrounds us. We may need to go without some things we are not used to going without, but there was a time when life required us to make things from scratch, social media did not provide us an outlet, and we didn’t have the knowledge we have today to help us find the answers we need fast enough to save lives. Some of us are missing our in person connection to family and friends, but at least we have the ability to speak to them via video or phone.

We have spent these last 9 days organizing certain areas of our house, finding movies that we can watch as a family, cooking dinner together, and even learning to plant certain foods that we will enjoy. I am so lucky to have such amazing housemates, family and friends. Let's take this time to call our loved ones to make sure they are doing well mentally & physically. I love having friends that are finding ways to have a little fun using 'Zoom Conferencing'. We are going to enjoy our first fun paint night virtually!

Try embracing the little things that are so simple for us to create right in our own homes and enjoying this moment with ourselves and our loved ones. This is the first time in my life that I and many of us have gone through anything like this.

I believe that we will overcome this and be stronger at the end of all of this. Be part of the solution and keep the positivity flowing through your household and throughout our social media outlet. Be the support that we all need in our communities giving our children hope and releasing the fear. Don't forget to continue your practice of yoga and meditation to keep the body and mind clear of toxins. If you are looking for a virtual yoga buddy, let me know!
